Celebrating International Women’s Day

Committing to #InspireInclusion

Every year, we celebrate International Women’s Day on 8 March to recognize the achievements of women in our workplaces, countries and communities and raise awareness of the issues they face. This year’s campaign theme #InspireInclusion encourages us to examine our own home, cultural and working environment to ensure that women are present, included and heard.

Committing to #InspireInclusion

When women aren’t present, we must ask: “If not, why not?”

We must call out poor and discriminatory practice.

We must take action against inequitable treatment – each time, every time.

Women must be included in all fields of endeavor, worldwide.

We can all play our part.

Promoting inclusion at CEVA Logistics

Here at CEVA Logistics, we work hard to create a positive environment in which every employee feels valued and respected and is supported to reach their full potential, irrespective of their gender.

We celebrate diversity and inclusion in the workplace. CEVA provides gender-equal opportunities and empowers women for advancement and success. We intentionally strive to bring more women into the exciting field of logistics through academic partnerships and internships, as well as internal promotions and leadership opportunities. We are proud that 30% of our senior leadership team is female and we’re still trying to do more, including our Group’s Women’s Empowerment program to develop the next generation of female leaders

Women in Logistics

In recent years, an increasing number of women have joined this exciting industry – helping develop new technologies, forging new partnerships and advocating for sustainability. At CEVA we’re keen to welcome more women into our industry. We actively take measures to increase, support and advance women at CEVA Logistics.

As a global company, CEVA’s 72,000+ permanent employees demonstrate the power of a culture based on teamwork and respect. We believe that diversity is the foundation for sustainable business success. The inclusion of female professionals in every tier of our organization is important.

In France, the gender equality index assesses the differences between men and women on several indicators, such as the pay gap, the gap in pay rises and promotions, pay rises after maternity leave and the percentage of women among the highest 10 earners. CEVA Logistics head office obtained a score of 81/100.

We support our women colleagues through flexible work environments, leadership development and alignment with local organizations to fight barriers preventing women to enter our industry. For example, last year, as part of the CMA CGM Group, female mentors from CEVA took part in “Elles Bougent” events in Antananarivo,Algiers, Beirut, Casablanca, Reunion,Libreville, Lome, Marseille and Sao Paulo to raise awareness of careers in logistics for young women.

This year, as part of the #InspireInclusion campaign, we’d like to share some stories of women who are already excelling in their careers here at CEVA Logistics.

Meet Marie Josee

From a childhood fascination with machinery to operating heavy-lift reach stackers at CEVA, Marie's journey is one of determination and grit.

In a male-dominated field, she's not just thriving but inspiring the next generation. Her advice to her daughter and all aspiring women: never give up. CEVA isn't just a workplace; it's where Marie found her passion and built her career.
